Thank you for posting the Alumitech Catalogs. Have a 1987 6500 with January 1988 serial numbers and was looking for a little info. Looks like this is the first year for Alumitech production? Great riding bike, been very happy with it! Did they change these into the 1400a, 1110a and 718a a couple of years later?

Thanks a lot for posting these. I've had an '87 912 since around '88. I bought it used and rode it real hard for years as a bike messenger in San Francisco in the late '80s & early '90s and as my all-around bike for about 10 years after that. For the last few years it's been gathering dust in the garage as I've been riding a mountain framed custom hybrid since. A handful of my buddies are getting into road bikes so I decided to pull it out of the garage and bring it back to life. I've always loved the feel of the frame but I never really knew the specs until now. Cheers.

Great resource! I was 14 when I bought my first bike and it happened to be a 1987 Miyata 512, 57CM. I still have the bike and can't find it in me to part with it. For years I thought it was a 1985 model but after seeing the brochure for 1987 is became evident that the 512 first entered the market in 1987. Thanks again.

I just want to thank you for hosting these great catalogs. I've got an '87 912 that I bought new, and looking through the catalog was a great stroll down memory lane. I remember lusting after the Team and the Carbon bikes, but was already stretching the budget to get the 912. I still have it, albeit w/ ~15k miles on it. It does still look close to new though!.
